GENERAL WATCHKEEPING SCHEDULES:

1. OFFICER IN-CHARGE OF ENGINEERING WATCH
0400 – 0800, 1600-2000 hrs : 2nd Engineer,
0800 – 1200, 2000-2400 hrs: 4th Engineer,
0000 – 0400, 1200-1600 hrs : 3rd Engineer, 

2. OILER'S WATCH
        0400 – 0800, 1600-2000 hrs : Oiler 3
        0800 – 1200, 2000-2400 hrs : Oiler 1
        0000 – 0400, 1200-1600 hrs : Oiler 2

3. UMS SCHEDULE 
During UMS operation, one Engineer and one M/M at a time will be designated as Duty
watch keepers for the day.
The Duty Engineer and M/M for the day shall inspect the Engine Room  before the Engine
Room is unmanned & At 2100hrs.
Follow the UMS Check list .
Additionally inspect the Air Handling Room and Provision Spaces.


>During special operations, 3rd Engineer and 4th Engineer may be required to work 6 hour
schedules as directed by C/E. 2nd Engineer will be on day work in such cases.

>During normal sea passage, Except Duty engg and duty M/M,  other Enggs,ETO M/M’s
and Fitter will be on day work or assist as directed by C/E.

>This schedule is subject to revision by C/E depending on work load and vessel’s trading
pattern.

>All personnel are instructed to keep a record of their daily working hours and under no
circumstances shall the permitted STCW / OPA 90 working hours be exceeded. In cases
where such a situation is likely to arise, the C/E must be immediately informed.
